Lauren Cline is an artist and educator based in Queens, NY. Her dense, narrative works are created with paint as well as hand-painted paper and fabric. Her paintings are worked up over many layers, with compositions that are not preplanned but arise organically. Family, identity, and generational time are recurrent themes within her paintings, expressed both through depicted imagery and through process. Lauren has an MFA from Hunter College and a BFA from the Academy of Art in San Francisco. ​
